In response to project posted by shinu:


It is not recommended to do cultures of diabetic ulcers as this is an area of dead tissue that can harbour numerous types of bacteria. Culture of tissue from beyond the borders of the ulcerated tissue is recommended if symptoms of cellulitis or septicemia are present.
