» hadenuff3 - Deodorant!!!!

Finally I have found something that truely works! Lush.com carrys a powder deodorant, the one that is MR.T works!!!
It smells bad, but once you wear it it go's away. I ordered the Powdry didn't like it didn't work. What is nice is that it cuts down on wettness the MR.T.
I also tried the cake deodorants with no luck. It must be the tea tree oil that makes the difference, plus the weird smell of the powder. So for 6.95 and shipping I found my solution finally! If you order, get the code from ad here and get free products also. I hope someone else has the luck with it that I have cause it sure is nice to be totaly free of this problem!

If anyone does try the Lush deodorants remember to at least try them more than once. I used the Mr T the first day I got them and hated it. Then I tried it again and found that it did indeed work. You do need to wash your armpit before you use it!! Some on the website said it only worked for them for 4 hours before having to clean and reapply. Think about it 4 hours is more than what you have now!! So I hope you at least give it a try, and like I said more than once before giving it the thumbs down! And you do not have to use a lot I did that at first and found only a small amount does go a long way. And yes like I said it does smell weird but if I can go shopping and not have the snorting and people holding their noses for the first time in a long time I'll take the weird smell at first as long as it get rid of my weird smell.
Good Luck

hi everyone, hope you all had a splendid thanksgiving. I was wondering if this odor in the armpit problem stems from a abnormalities in one's physiologic processess?. I was thinking about going to see an internist (internal doctor), maybe there's something wrong with my thyroid gland or maybe there's some deficiency in some regulatory hormones. I really wanna be free of this, raise my arms in the air to stretch without anyone trickishly trying to cover their noses. Please your inputs would be appreciated. Does anyone think its a possibility for this odor situation is from an internal source?

Well reasons for armpit odor could be:

- bacterial
- nutrient/enzyme deficiency
- liver problems
- horomone problems

and a bunch of other things, that's why it's so hard for doctors to offer a solution. I'd say the deodorant that I found works best is Dry Idea Unscented Gel or the Deodorant Crystal. Try either one of those, both worked for me. Dry Idea stopped working after a few weeks unfortunately, but while it worked I could go to the gym and workout very hard and not smell like anything. The Crystal works pretty well as well, that's what I'm using right now, but you have to reapply it after about 12-16 hours or so. Both are worth a try though. I've had a lot of luck with several deodorants/antiperspirants, but I haven't really found one that I like. I hate deodorants with a smell so I always use the unscented kind, they seem to work best. I would love to find a deodorant/antiperspirant that I could just put on without any irritation and not worry about armpit odor for the entire day. That would be great, hopefully we'll all find one soon enough. In a couple of years I'll hopefully have enough money to get surgery and will just have my armpit sweat glands removed.

thanks for the response. what I'm understanding from you is that you are sweating excessively. But have you done any medical tests to rule out that your body/armpit odor is from an internal source? If you have medical examination and diagnostic tests, I like to know what kinds you had done. Also are you having problems with armpit odors? My insurance would kick in sometime nextweek and I anticipate on going to see an internal doctor, not just a regular MD. Were you trying to say that doctors might see it as a waste of time to see me?. I'm kinda getting really frustrated. I wanna be able to go out, have some fun. I'm in my prime and I don't think I should be wasted because of this problem holding me back. I just got introduced to a guy, that I anticipate on meeting during the upcoming holiday season, but I decided not to until I treat whatever this crazy problem is. I'm sorry if I seem to be ranting, but I'm real angry, upset and all the emtions wrapped up in one. I am not even performing at my uptimal best in school 'cos I'm scared of going to class and sitting next to people(though I'm a senior). Let me clarify something also, I'm not bad looking, I'm kinda petit, not big nor extremely small (I have a slim/moderate frame) but this is such a hindrance although I try not to let it be.
I had to let this out, although there's still more that I'll keep bottled up.
Thanks, again sorry for this lengthy posting

Hey Nevab, sorry for the late reply. To answer your question, I do not excessivly sweat, in fact I do not sweat much at all. Some days I don't sweat at all, even without antiperspirant. It seems that my armpits just stink whenever I sweat I guess. The deodorant crystal has been working pretty well, but I'm looking for something that works for a longer time and is more effective. The reason I suggested sweat gland removal as an option to treat armpit odor is because I read that it can work as an effective treatment.

I know exactly what you're going through, I feel like ever since I got this problem , my social life has been stunted. I feel uncomfortable around people. Hopefully I can find something that works so I can loosen up a bit and go back to being the old me. Trust me, I'm not crazy. Some people just imagine they have body odor and go crazy, but I know I smell when I do. I can tell by putting my nose up to my armpit and sniffing. I do not judge whether I stink by the reactions of other people, that seems like a paranoid and ineffective method. Anyways, best of luck everyone, we just gotta keep fighting. Just keep keep praying and keep working at it.

hi thanks for the response, but what I'd like to know is whether or not you think this odor stuff could be the result of some organ or system malfunction in one's body?. By the way, i've been using the crystal deoderant for 2-3 months now. when i first started, my armpits didn't stink, but after continual use, i guess my 'pits kinda got used to it, so i interchange regularly between mitchum and crystal. I don't often sweat, either. Have you ever gotten a whole body/internal body evaluation/examination? i.e. like liver function tests, kidney, thyroid, and so on, by a medical doctor?.
Thanks, in anticipation for your response.

Hey, No, I have never had blood tests or any of my organs tested. However, I have heard that if you have a poor liver or kidneys, you can have body odor before you're carrying a lot of toxins. It might be good for you to have your organs checked out and/or get a blood test. I think my problem is most likely bacterial or fungal maybe. I'm going to see a dermatologist soon and see what they say. I haven't had this problem long, about 8 months so I am guessing I maybe got an infection or bacterial growth in my armpits. I should have it checked out ASAP. Btw, I'm curious to know, how do you tell you have armpit b.o.? Thanks. Also, I noticed that the crystal seems to be getting more and more effective with regular use. Like it works better now for me then when I first started using it.

thanks for your response. I usually just lift my arms and sniff. sometimes it is foul smelling, but that occurs once in a while, and other times i don't perceive anything. One thing I noticed though was that, if I happened to sit beside anyone (except my family), after 5 minutes or maybe less, I noticed a change in the breathing rhythm. it becomes deep and labored. The last time I was out studying at a book store, a guy sat next to me. His breathing pattern changed, and I noticed (peripheral vision)that he looked towards my direction, and used his index finger to conver his nostrils. I actually asked hime, after a while of studying there if he thought i smelled offensive to him. I guess out of curtesy, he said no. I wouldn't mind if someone just said yeah. I know it'd hurt, but sometimes the truth is better.
By the way, I think you should get professional consultation (internally), nut just on the surface. Because if it was just an infection, it shouldn't have lasted 8 months. mine kinda started around may. my history is that, while in school, i used to miss a lot of meals. Not 'cos I didn't wanna eat, but 'cos of my school program, not enough time.
thanks, later.

That is true about it not lasting 8 months if it was was an infection, but some infections are really bad and I have not been on any meds, so I wouldn't doubt the fact that it could be the reason. It seems that when I apply strong antibacterial stuff to it, the odor goes away for awhile, so I'm thinking it's bacterial. I'll talk to the doctor about it though. I would definatly not go by other peoples reactions to determine whether you smell. You'll become paranoid and go crazy. Trust me, people scratch their nose out of habit or just because it itches for no reason. They also cover their noses out of habit. Even I do it sometimes for no reason. I think in earlier posts you said your family thought you were just paranoid, do you think this could just be it? There is a disease called body dysmorphic disorder where people think they have body odor when they don't. They believe this solely on the reactions of others, and not on their own sense of smell.
