» whatsthatsmell - I've been dealing with this for years!

Well I have found this site once again and couldnt remember my password, but I still find it hard to believe that a cure is still unavailable for us. I have been dealing with this for about 9 years now. And I think I finally know what my problem is, because it is getting better finally. Not cured but better and better. I do the same thing you guys do on here, research everything, and try everything and nothing has worked for me. I haven't always had this problem, there was a time when I could get up like everybody else and take a shower put on deoderant and forget about it. But things changed after I got pregnant with my son. I think what I have is a yeast overgrowth in the underarm area. Called Candida. I didnt know that birth control pills caused yeast. Well after I stopped taking the pill, my cycles were out of whack, and then pregnancy. Then throughout my whole prenancy I had a yeast infection, which I believe was caused by my prenatal vitamins. (The doctor told me to just use over the counter medication) Antibiotics, and regular vitamins can cause yeast also, and eating alot of sugar.
well not to gross anyone out but I also had cronic constipation as well. So all of that together I think caused the overgrowth of bacteria. I also think it may have gotten into my blood stream. So anyway I have been taking acidiphillus pills and taking echineacha extract every morning and before I go to bed to rid the yeast and boost my immune system. And I've been drinking Danactive daily to rid my body of the yeast and get some probiotics in me. I also quit smoking and cut out alot of my sugar, and carbs. And for the first time in years I can get through more than 3 hours without stinking. I quit a really good job because of this and I used to be a social butterfly but now Im a social outcast and the butt of everyones jokes and little subtle "hints". Everyone always assumes you have a hygeine problem, and we are probably the cleanest people on the earth! I shower with antibacterial soap and after I dry off I put just a little bit of the soap on my fingertips and rub under my arms (I use Ivory, Safeguard, or Dial white.) I let that dry and then put on Almay fragrance free clear gel deoderant. After that dries then I get dressed and try to make it through the day. But around lunch time at work I carry soap and deoderant with me to work and I go to the bathroom and wet some paper towels and use them to wash up and dry my underarms and put on another coat of deoderant. I would really love to go and actually have a lunch but I have to do this everyday or the smell gets really bad. I do think it is stress that triggers it also, because at home its not bad, but the thought of being around people at work stresses me out and my underarms get extremly HOT and it seems once it starts I cant get them cooled back down. Does this happen to anyone else here? Anyway since I have been following this regimen it seems to be working today I didnt have to re-apply until around 3:00 today. And I've been on for about a month now, so far I can tell a difference. I also plan to do an intestinal cleanse and maybe that will help also.

good thing you found something that is helping you. I have found several deodorants that work for me, but a lot of times they stop working after a while. I'm kind of picky, so some of the ones that work I don't use because the product itself smells funny or it's uncomftarble etc. I only use the unscented kinds because fragrances mixing with b.o. makes it worse. I can't wait until I can put on my deodorant at the beginning of the day and just forget about it. Those were the days, those were the days. I guess I can consider myself lucky, I've only been dealing with this problem for about 6 months. I'm hoping I'll find my cure before the end of the month. What's funny is when the problem started, I thought I'd just switch brands and then forget about it. Unfortunatly that was not the case. happy Oh well, I pray everyday that I find my cure and I also pray for you guys. Best of luck everyone, I'm with you guys through all of this, whether I find my cure or not, I'm gonna keep praying.

Nevab, this is our new discussion page to my knowledge. I just think noone has posted in a while. I've had some luck with Almay Fragrance Free and Arm and Hammer Unscented Antiperspirant, everyone give them a try if you can. Best of luck everyone.

Has everyone tried the deodorant rock crystal? I tried it a few months ago and it worked but it irritated my skin. I think this is because I had a rash at the time. I got it again and so far it has worked amazing. Even though it's only supposed to be a deodorant, it keeps me fairly dry as well. It's worth a try, it can't hurt. And no I don't sell this product, I'm just offering a suggestion. Only get the rock kind and maybe the roll on. The spray doesn't work. Here's a link to the product online, you can buy it at almost any drugstore or grocery store though. I have the one in the purple case, but being a man, it's a little funny to carry around, I would buy the mens version if you're a guy. It's the same product in a clear case. Here's a link to the product: http://www.thecrystal.com

Directions on how to use it can be found on the back. Leave your pits wet after a shower and just rub it in. Or if you want, you can put the crystal under the tap and rub it in. It doesn't work as well that way though. And make sure you rub in a lot, like for 45 seconds per a pit all around. Best of luck everyone, God bless.

» hadenuff3 - Try this !!!!!

It seems everyone has found something that works for them! I recently tried this and to my shock it has work for me!! I'm sure there will be those it does nothing for but for the first time I truely have found a simple remedy.
You can use any soap you want but before your bath or shower is done use this-on underarms, groin, any place you sweat! You don't need much either about the size of a quater. The guys won't appreciate it but it is Summer's Eve sensitive skin feminine wash. This is the first time in getting out of a shower with no smell. I hardley use any deodorant and have no smell. I even went the other day to the store with no deodorant and did not have the usual snort sound from people going on. It is wonderful, I been doing this for over a month, price is about $4 a small bottle, like I said it will work for smone and not others but give it a try.

Sorry noone has been replying Lack. I'm praying for you, I hope you find something that works. Once again I suggest getting surgery if you can afford it. Consult a doctor about it. I've been using the deodorant crystal and I'm getting good results. You've got to give it time though, it took about 2.5 weeks for it to start working well for me. It seems to become more and more effective the more you use it. Right now I'm applying it twice daily since I shower once in the morning and once in the evening. It's only a deodorant, but I think it keeps me more dry than antiperspirants did. Everyone give it a try if you can. Also, another forum you might try is the Body Odor Support forum:

http://groups.msn.com/BodyOdorSupport/_w...

The people who post there are really depressed and suffer mentally from their conditions so I'd be careful about posting there. I don't like to go to their forum because it depresses me to read about their suffering. God Bless everyone, life is tough but we have to deal.
